Filled and Sealed Porous Beads

polydisperse Chitosan-Rho gefüllte Partikel

We offer the possibility to encapsulate charged materials in porous beads. Charged materials such as proteins, DNA or other macromolecules are introduced into porous silica beads (Ø > 1 µm) and the pores are then sealed with a special coating. Further functionalization of the material is also possible by attaching further polyelectrolyte layers onto the outer surface.

The confocal image shows polydisperse particles (Ø 5-10 µm) filled with Chitosan-Rho which are coated with Polyallylamine-Cy5/Polystyrolsulfonate (image size 43 µm x 43 µm).
